First of all, this stand should be a good enough reason alone to recommend this monitor. On top of that, the display is amazing, and 4k is a delight to the eyes. Since it’s a C-type monitor and provides data connectivity, the cable management (hiding back cables) is super simple and neat. Found it a little expensive that other 4k 27″ monitors, but the stand, extra ports, accessibility and 4k display definitely make it worth the price.

So far my experience with this monitor is great. Picture quality is good. I haven’t used a 4k monitor before I can say you would really find it attractive. The controls are good and responsive. There is back light bleed but which ips monitor doesn’t. Oh boy the stand it’s very cool. For someone who spend 10+ hours before the screen you need that adjustability to move the monitor around. Since this is a productivity monitor I am not expecting anything from a gaming point of view.
    Conclusion:
If you want a 4k monitor(I strongly suggest you to go for it even some might argue 2k is enough) you can better deal than this but the arm would make up that difference. So you can’t go wrong with this. Peace.

I have owned a 24″ FHD Dell IPS monitor for the past four years and I was looking for an upgrade. Before purchasing this monitor, I had tried out the 5K monitor from LG at a friend’s house, with thunderbolt connectivity. I opted for this model as its nearly half the price of its 5K counterpart and overall I’m happy with this decision. I love the display quality and the ergonomic stand. I’m okay with having USB C connectivity with power pass through though thunderbolt would have been great. This doesn’t mean that there are no complaints though. I’m quite disappointed that the built in USB A ports on the monitor are not recognized by my new Macbook M1 Pro as USB 3.0 but the much slower USB 2.0 standard, making them pretty much useless for any high speed external connectivity to my new Macbook Pro. It’s a shame that LG decided to cut corners on such a basic feature expected of a premium monitor. Though I have decided to keep this monitor, I’ll now be forced to use an external USB hub for my connectivity needs which just increases the clutter on my desk.

    Update:

Display worked for a month and then problem started, at first I saw a very think black vertical line appearing randomly. Day by day thickness of the line started increasing and almost half the screen turned dark and not usable. I contacted LG customer care and the promptly sent a Service engineer at my place, he examined the monitor and agreed to replace it. It took some 10 days but LG replaced my monitor and now it is working fine. This is benefit of going with a well known reputed brand with a nation wide service network. Thanks LG.

First one delivered by Amazon was an open box item! This is now a days almost a common practice at Amazon to push customer return product as a fresh item. Amazon please make a note of this this could sink your ship in no time!!

    Original review:

Amazon accepted the fault (deliberate fault indeed) and arranged for a replacement unit promptly (in less than 24 hours flat) this one is real brand new factory packed piece.

However the display quality is not as per the hype created , just an ordinary 27 inch 4k monitor nothing special that could justify the high price tag , There are many other models available , lot cheaper than this , better buy that one instead of this LG monitor, you could save a lot.

Only saving grace here is the Ergo stand ! This stand itself worth 8 to 10K , it is that good , but at end , what really matters is the display quality and value for money equation, and here this monitor fails miserably.

    Well, that’s it.
