Pros: Its a cooler and seems like it will be adequate to cool the ryzen chip I bought. Materials seem to be quality enough. Cons: Terrible engineering. It doesn’t seem like they actually gave one of these to someone to install after designing it. The retention screws on the side opposite of the fan are underneath the the actual cooling fins. Its nearly impossible to get a proper screw driver in to tighten them of any size. I ended up leaving apprentice marks all over the fins. If I have to pull this out its going to require pliers to loosen again. Also same issue on fan side screws once the fan is in place. If I need to remove this then I will be going after it with a dremel tool to “fix” the clearance issues with the screws. Granted its more of a specialty cooler, however for $50 I would expect them to at least test them to see if they actually work properly. Im also not too sure about using 3m adhesive to attach the coolers support plate to the rear of a motherboard. Seems that should you ever have to replace it there is significant risk in damaging the boards components. And fans do fail. Overall Review: Bought this for a ryzen home lab vmware box to be rack mounted. Would not recommend this unless you’re comfortable cutting your own clearance channels for a screw driver. This should have easily been caught in QC had someone actually tried to install it. Doubtful I will by this again.

Pros: Updating review after using these for many months. It cools Ryzen well in 2U, even 16 core 3950X idles at 28-33*c and under load 55-60*c. Cons: No cons now.

Pros: 2U server case, ASRock Rack X470D4U, which requires a narrower cooler. With default case fans (2x20CFM), under full load at 3.5GHz and all 32 threads, keeps the CPU below 65°C with ambient at 21°C.With upgraded case fans (3x33CFM + 2x10CFM) keeps the CPU under 62°C under full load (CPU and memory). Cons: Noisy, but the server lives in the basement utility room, so that’s not an issue. I didn’t expect otherwise. Overall Review: Pleased with the part. Pleased with the vendor.
