Pros: LGA 2011 12 core/24 thread chip to replace my E5-4640 8 core/16 thread chip on a Chinese knock-off X79T B75 Chipset Quad-Channel 40 PCIe laned M.2 sport’n motherboard that I run for my TrueNAS with Plex running in a jail. Almost doubling my Passmark score Cons: This item was the most expensive part of my build Overall Review: I took a chance as to whether this would work on my motherboard or not as there doesn’t seem to be a definitive guide out there listing what chips will and will not work .. it’s an LGA 2011 compatible CPU soooo … why not! I’m glad I took the chance .. this chip is working/running great paired with a Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4 CPU Cooler of which Noctua sent me a free LGA 2011 adapter kit to mount on my motherboard. Great performance at cool temps. Happy Camper
