Pros: Processor is very fast, but make sure you have fast drives. This thing really screams with memory based applications and 15k/ SSD based apps. Cons: Slow clock speed, but 8 cores – still well worth the $ Overall Review: 1600mhz ram doesn’t recognize with dell r720 and windows server 2012 with Kingston 1600mhz ECC ram from newegg- probably dell.

Pros: Stable. Utilized in Linux server build for both data backup and media streaming. Underutilized for what it is asked to do. Cons: Chaaaching!!! This baby is very expensive. In hindsight, this was way overkill, but that can’t be put on the chip. Overall Review: Requires non generic heatsink. Research before purchase and save yourself a return.
