Pros: It’s less than i7 IB. No GPU. vt* Cons: Are you kidding me? Overall Review: I scoured the net a long time on whether this will work with a desktop board, but not much proof is out there. I found one forum screen shots showing it does, and plenty of others with posts speculating it will as well as others who say it won’t. ASROCK supports it while ASUS does not. It is running in an ASUS P8H77-M PRO right now and the BIOS recognizes it for what it is, a XEON E3-124v2.

Pros: Really good speed for the money. Cheaper than E5’s, but it still screams. We have about 20 of these in servers and keep buying more… Cons: None

Pros: 4 core, 8 threads, low power, works on Z77 with no issues. Gaming is excellent, powerful replacement for my 3570K. Lower power use (not that I care). Cons: No Over Clocking…not my intention anyway. Overall Review: I bought this to be part of my main rig. Asus Sabertooth Z77, 32G ram, NVidia GTX 760. It was cheaper than the 3770(K) and I wasn’t looking to OC, just wanted dependable 24/7 operation and hyper-threading. I got what I wanted and I am very satisfied with the performance for the price. When not in use, it is folding at 20-50% more PPD than my 3570K was on the same hardware.
