Pros: This thing is quite the beast and makes for a great gaming CPU. So far, it easily handles everything I throw at it and runs very cool, even with the stock cooler. Cons: Absolutely none, this CPU is well worth the price. Overall Review: As always, do your research before buying to make sure that this is the right CPU for your needs. It is clearly listed that this model doesn’t come with HT or an integrated GPU. The lack of these features isn’t a con for me but can be for some.

Pros: Yes this is a fast chip with vt-d and support for normal or ecc memory. Cons: One egg dropped for value due to lack of hyperthreading as the 1230 has. Overall Review: This chip and the 1225 is overpriced by about 20 dollars in the IVY B lineup.

Pros: Runs cool. Great performance. In a small home server that hosts games and media. Cons: I didn’t realize this didn’t have hyper threading. Completely my fault so I’m not deducting an egg. However considering the 1230 is only $30 more with HT and faster base clock the 1220 is pretty over priced. Overall Review: I doubt I’ll notice the difference with HT and not but it’s always nice to have especially as I learn new things to do with my server. Regardless this cpu does everything I expected it to do perfectly.
