Review “MSI MPG B550I Gaming Edge Wifi” (240€) :
Les + :
– BIOS MSI toujours au top (notamment pour l’OC).
РOC stable et bonne qualit̩ de fabrication.
РPetit ventilo pour m.2 appr̩ciable dans un build ITX.
РCM recommand̩e pour un build ITX.
Les – :
– Incompatible avec les ventirad Noctua (ex: Noctua NH-L9a) à cause de condensateurs dépassant à l’arrière (voir photo).
– 240€, c’est trop cher pour du B550.
РCM pas pertinente pour un build mATX ou ATX, prenez une carte m̬re au format correspondant ce sera moins cher et tout aussi bien.
Installé dans un build ITX avec un ventirad Thermalright AXP90-X53 (qui lui a une backplate “compatible”) et un 5600x, ca fonctionne très bien.
Le BIOS MSI et toujours aussi excellent et régler les paramètres du PBO AMD y est très facile.
Le petit ventilo pour le m.2 s’allume lorsque le chipset atteint 50-51° (ce qui est très occasionnel) mais ajoute un petit plus surtout dans les build ITX ou tout a tendance à vite chauffer. (il n’est pas 100% silencieux mais si il s’allume vous avez probablement votre ventirad qui souffle déjà bien)
Les antennes wifi se fixent directement sur l’IO shield de la carte mère ce qui est pour moi plus pratique que l’antenne déportée comme sur certaines carte mère ASUS par exemple.

M.2 front slot comes with attached heatsink and fan that rarely spins. Probably syncs with onboard temperature. Works properly with AMD 5600X and RTX 3050

Purchased 24 Jan 2022 for £196. Excellent motherboard – reliable, well built and fast. Installation was hampered by the front panel connectors being too far away from the case front panel. This meant that the leads would not reach without extending them with some spare cables.
The board is running with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G CPU with no BIOS update required.
I haven’t tried it with any graphics heavy games, but it handles photoshop without problems.
