Picked this up as a low cost option for an MATX build I did. Pretty bare bones (one cpu fan header, one system fan header, one argb header, no vrm heatsink, 2 ram slots, etc.), but, works perfectly so far, for what I need. Running a 5800x and 3070 in a gaming machine, and the board handles my 3200 ddr4 at rated speeds fine, pbo 2.0 works great with my cpu, and stability seems good overall. The lack of headers was a bit cumbersome, but fan hubs, rgb hubs, etc, easily fixed that. Would be great for a very barebones build, someone who needs to shave some off a budget, or someone building a basic work pc. Time will tell, but, I’ve also had the b450m equivalent of this board (still working great), and I have high hopes for this as well. *One caveat, I use very high airflow cases and optimize cooling at every turn, so, the lack of vrm cooling may be more of an issue to those who build in more restrictive conditions, though I’m not sure on that.

Seems to be fine for our office use.

No support for the Ryzen 5 5600G without the latest BIOS. No response to power switch.
No BIOS update button or other means to flash BIOS without compatible CPU.
No list of supported CPUs on MSI’s “support” site.
Too late to return.
Now I must find an older Ryzen to allow me to boot-flash the BIOS.

This is a perfectly great board for a basic build, especially if you plan to use Ryzen with integrated Radeon graphics.
Beware, though, that this board does NOT support BIOS flashback (upgrading BIOS without a CPU), unlike the similarly-named B550M-Pro VDH WiFi, which does:
https://www.amazon.com/MSI-B550M-PRO-VDH-ProSeries-Motherboard/dp/B089D1YG11/
That means that if you buy this board to use with the new Ryzen 5000 series processors, you will need an older socket AM4 chip to upgrade your BIOS before you can use the new chip.
I know this is true for the “G” series Ryzen 5000 chips that included integrated Radeon graphics, but I am unsure about regular 5000 series Ryzen chips.
Also, this board only has 2 RAM slots. 32GB is more than enough for my needs, but if you need more than that without breaking the bank, you should step up to a board with 4 slots.
If I had known that this didn’t support “flashback”, I would have purchased the other board just to avoid the hassle, even though I don’t need the extra RAM or Wifi.

I was wondering how I could fix only 1 ram slot working on this motherboard
