>>first of all, this stand works more like a laptop mount, not like a exhaust release stand(for which i bought this)
>>the metal feels beaten up and heavy which is good if u r planning to put heavy laptop on it. but the screws and joints are not sturdy but doesn’t not really matter once u put weight on it.
>>the minimum elevation possible in this is not even close to the ergonomic standard for using the keys and touch pad, that means, this will make ur laptop’s key/touch pads difficult for regular use. use external keyboard and mouse.
>>this stand works like a mount because of the rubbers and elevation. so once u place ur laptop on it, it’s not easy to slide/shift to here and there, unless u pick the laptop up, fold the stand and move it and re-mount it. you can put the stand on a piece of cloth if u need it to be shifted slightly here and there. if u place it on a smooth surface, it’ll stick there (not permanently).
>>if u r looking for elevation to clear path for ur laptop’s exhausts, 100% does the job. (merely clearing exhausts path will not speed up ur computer, but surely helps with overheating)
>>not “ideal” for 15 inch laptops, because even when the length of the support bars are adequate, the width of the stand is only halfway covering the laptop ‘s width(check images). this makes the sides of the laptop moderately not steady. that means won’t be able to rest ur hands on the sides the laptop. otherwise, its holding the weight (my gaming laptop is around 2.5kg, see images) pretty much decently.
>>just an opinion after using it, i dont think this will be really great for mac air-like light weight notebooks (like in the pictures and infographics by the seller), as the stand relies little too much in the weight of the laptop to be sturdy. if the laptop is too light, it can be unsteady. because whatever screw and material they used, the stand works because there’s a tiny metal lever that goes into small cuts made on the base rod and just stays there only because of the weight that’s put above the stand.

Great portability and functionality. Set up takes a lil effort because two legs have to be set up individually. I neck is thanking me daily. People at office were curious and have ordered for them selves too.
