Ordered 5 of these. 2 faulty, 3 working, but can’t test or use properly until I get 2 more to replace these. 1 absolutely failed to boot and BIOS said to replace. 1 Showed up in my system after a lot of permutations and combinations with power and data cables. Won’t read if it’s not on the motherboard data cable(I use SAS cards as well). Hence 3 out 5 stars.

inconsistent hdd, on first install to sata port it would not take a format, kept showing as raw partition.
eventually formatted it by installing into a powered 3.5 ext hdd case, if i connected geonix to sata port directly it works on usb 2 speeds, only works on usb 3 speeds as long as its inside external case, so can never be sure of reliability, lucky its a 3rd copy of backup of all my data, glad to know my life not depend upon it, totally different from my wd 10 tb hdd that runs on usb 3 speeds on all the same connections, ofcourse that is 3 times cost of geonix. so for a cheap backup its ok.
