HD Tune programı ile 2 saat 20 dakika süren bad sektör testi yaptım, hiç bad sektör çıkmadı.
En uygun fiyatlı, en ince ve kaliteli 7200 rpm hdd bu sanırım. Aslında 10000 rpm’lik hdd almak lazım ama kara borsaya düştükleri için alması zor. Piyasa maalesef 5000 rpm’li hdd’ler ile dolu. Ama siz yine de 7200 rpm’nin altına düşmeyin. Bu hdd’nin hızı yeterli, oyunlarlarda sıkıntı çıkarmaz. Forza 4’ü, 1tb’lik WD’den (7200 rpm 150 MB/s) bu hdd’ye taşıdım, oyun daha hızlı açıldı.

PRODUCT REVIEW:
– Checked out the drive. Not a refurbished drive. No scratch marks anywhere, seal and hologram intact.
– Worked smoothly.
– Plugged in, connected, powered up the tower, installed the OS through pen drive… worked perfectly. No hitches whatsoever.
– As a product the Barracuda SATA 1 TB internal(PC) HDD worked perfectly. 5 STARS for that.
NOTE: Actually a miracle that it worked considering the horrible packing that it came it. (see pictures)
Packing and Delivery:
– The delivery partner came in the first half of the day which I sincerely appreciate.
– Now the fun starts, he came on a honda activa scooter with this HDD and several other products in a – Nylon Gunny Sack. God alone knows how many jerks and falls the sack must have gone through before it reached me.
– Absolutely pathetic packing. (see pictures) – Just an amazon cover, with the plastic jacket and an anti static cover. The plastic jacket was punched.. either buffeted in the sack or fallen. No external bubble/paper mache buffer wrap. Or a protective cardboard box.
Experience:
My heart was in my mouth when I powered up the drive. The packing left me speechless, and this is replacement only product. I was praying when i set up the HDD and powered up the computer that I should not hear the continuous beep that signifies a damaged hard disc. But thanks to the powers of the universe the device functioned as expected.
Request to Amazon and the seller:
Please pack your products, particularly delicate electronic products like spindle based HDDs properly. How much would it cost you to swaddle in a few layers of bubble warp and a cardboard box? The feedback is a suggestion since the drive worked well. What would be my reaction if the drive had conked off? The torture of phone calls, replacement requests, and if the packing is as bad as it is now, there is no guarantee that the problem will not recur. Please avoid issues when you know things can go wrong. Better to be safe than sorry.

Got this HDD yesterday and gave it for installation and it was not working and not detecting. Callled up Amazon and told me it’s non replacement. I mean they sent me a defective and now they are not replacing also, in the product description it says 2 year warranty but there is nothing in the package, it was sent ina plastic pack with no safety cover.
How do I replace this??

El disco duro cumple su función, realmente si funciona, sin embargo lo quería para que fuera disco interno de un PS4 Slim, por el espacio de la bandeja de PS4 slim no es posible que entre ya que este disco mide 15 mm de altura, obte por convertirlo en un disco duro externo, otra desventaja es que no hay case para este tipo de disco que puedan ser justos a un precio razonable, por lo que se tiene que usar uno de tapa sin que pueda cerrarse bien, respecto al rendimiento funciona bien.

The product should ideally be very good considering it is Seagate. However! It seems as if they are producing defective lots and dumping them in here, or the sellers and the couriers do not know or simply do not care about how a fragile, electronic item should be packed and handled (Check the packaging screenshots). I guess this happens only in India. The result is that a perfectly good hard disk is bound to fail on arrival, which is what happened to me.
The first drive I ordered was looking fine, but I had my suspicion because of the scanty packaging. Still I wanted to giev the seller a benefit of doubt. So I initialized the HDD and formatted it. Then I used a partition manager to clone my aging drive, but then I started hearing clicks and other weird noises. So I rebooted and the partition manager started up. But it could not recognise the disk. The error was “previous device configuation does not match”, and the disk was still whirring and clicking, as if it was trying to spin up but couldn’t. After a second reboot, the BIOS did not even detect the drive. So I had no choice other than asking for a replacement, which was handled nicely by Amazon.
The replacement arrived, and I did ran the Seatools for Windows on it. The tests showed no problems in the SMART (Self Monitoring and Reporting Technology) and short DST (Drive Self Tests) checks. Still, I started the long DST, and in the morning it showed failure, as seen in the screenshot. So, I have to return this drive. Amazon has initiated a refund, so kudos to them for handling this appropriately. But I have lost faith and ordering any fragile or electronic product online in India is a worthless exercise, to be succinct.
So, my advice is, if you are going to order hard disks, look for obvious signs of damage on the packaging and verify that it is packed properly as soon as the drive is delivered. Next, connect the drive and listen for the ‘spin up’. If you hear odd whirs and clicks, return or refund immediately. If there are no suspicious sounds, download Seatools for Windows from Google and perform all the tests on the drive as well. These tests may take two or three days, but it will save you a lot of trouble down the road.
Furthermore, I urge everyone to find your local retailer and order your PC parts from there, especially if you are a regular customer. There’s no point in ordering online considering how these people handle electronic items. You think 50% off is a good discount? You get 50% chances of receiving a working item. In my case it was 0% for the item and its replacement. So, buyer beware.

Pour l’instant, rien à redire, fonctionne correctement et conformément aux caractéristiques affichées !
A voir si sa durée de vie est satisfaisante, mais aucun problème n’est à signaler jusqu’à maintenant.

I ordered this and got one which seemed faulty. My PC already had one WD 1TB SATA disk and I wanted to add one extra drive as my backup drive. The first drive that came was not working properly. I tried to troubleshoot and saw that many articles are suggesting to check the power and data cable. I knew that there is no issue with my motherboard as it is already detecting another SATA drive and all other SATA ports are enabled. So, I swapped the power and data cable without any success. I ordered a replacement, it was delivered to me on the next day; I connected to my PC with same cables and it started working like a magic. It gives you 1869 GB of effective storage, which I think is great in this price range.

It is a 1TB Seagate 3.5″ hard drive.
I bought it to test a DVR – yes, I know that there are drives designed for that use, but like I said, this is to test it and I had no other drives lying around. It does what it says and does so relatively well. I have had too many issues with Western Digital over the years and Seagate has proven to be quite reliable to me. I only got it a couple days now, so will update should it fail or encounter any issues.
The packaging was very robust, though.
