This cable works very well and has great durable use, I use this to connect my soundbar to my projector and get sound from my soundbar which either playing PS5 or watching TV content, this connection option splits the audio between the HDMI signal and send it to the soundbar when used with a audio extractor / splitter, it’s very good and the one I’ve got is long enough to reach my equipment to use it effectively a must have for easy cinematic audio experience in the home or bedroom

Appears well constructed. Terminations “click” nicely & firmly into the inputs and outputs of the connected equipment. And it works perfectly, delivering nice, clean sound from my multi-format player to a soundbar.

Not Ideal for True Surround Sound
I tried both HDMI ARC and this optical cable for 5.1 Dolby surround sound. HDMI ARC provides a much better surround experience. This optical cable feels more like 2.1, although the volume is louder.
**Pros:**
– Clear audio
– Louder volume
**Cons:**
– Lacks true 5.1 surround sound effects
Overall, good for basic audio but not for genuine surround sound.
