Product has no brand name, however it works well. Does take few mins to read the disk which is normal and does give no indication of files sometimes, will post detailed review after through use

My 8-year old Apple Superdrive stopped reading disks leaving me with many CD and DVD disks that I was unable to access. I purchased this drive hoping that it would be an inexpensive replacement, and so far it has been excellent. Reads and writes just as well a the Apple Superdrive. A few tips: the drive only shows up on you desktop when you insert either a blank CD/DVD or a disk with data. Finally, some times I needed to relaunch the finder (under the “Force Quit” menu) to have the drive appear. Otherwise, a great product.
