Update: With Momentum 4, you can hear the bass frequency clearly at 20 Hz and feel the bass at 15 Hz. But that’s only based on frequency test. When it translates to listening to music, I still feel, I could do very well with my Momentum 3 and not feel a single moment I’m missing anything.
I already own Momentum 3 and based on so many positive reviews I bought the 4 thinking the bass would be significantly better ( some have remarked it’s heavenly etc, lol).
Well, here’s what I think of it:
I listened to same music tracks of different generes on both 3 and 4, you can hardly tell any difference between the two, even in the bass department.
Conclusion: not worth the upgrade in my opinion unless:
1. you want better battery backup
2. more comfortable wear
3. You don’t own M3 already then M4 would be a smarter choice.
I did not test noise cancellation during calls as I bought it solely for listening to music. But I can tell this much at the moment that its noise cancellation while listening to music is a significant upgrade from M3.
Hope this helps.

Sound quality is average

I think nothing really comes close to these sets of headphones as far as sound quality, mic quality and comfort is involved. The only thing that is slightly lacking the noise cancelation which isn’t as powerful.. Please don’t chose the xm5s sony or any other sony over this. #sonysucks

A qualidade do som é excelente!
Outro recurso legal é guardar o fone no caixa e o aparelho desliga sozinho na mesma hora!

You’re a smart person, you can find the frequency response curves, ANC curves, etc. online. This review is about the overall experience. Note: I happen to LOVE the way these look, simple, plain, understated… smaller target for theft, too.
I have the Sennheiser HD 515, HD 598, and HD 598 Cs, and the Sennheiser GAME ONE headset. Those (and most other from the brand) have large, extremely comfortable ear cups. I know that, and need that, because I used to play World of Warcraft for about 50 hours a week, with headphones all the time.
First impression—the cups are smaller. It just so happens that I have normal ears, and the other Sennheisers I have are too big for me, with a good margin to adjust them when the skin gets tired around my earlobes. The MOMENTUM 4 surprised me by being smaller, but—they have a really good design and are concave, with more space inside the cup than it seems, especially in the back. I am able to find a few different positions where my earlobes are not pressed (or even touched) at all, but how they fit you will depend on your ears, which is something important to consider.
The review at SoundGuys is on point. The M4 do have a bit more low end than my other sets, and I like that; it’s easier to EQ your way down than up. Overall very happy with the sound, I don’t think you’d be disappointed. As the SG review says, the ANC is a little weak sometimes; I don’t care, to me that’s secondary.
Battery life is amazing, the 60hrs claim seems accurate. Build quality is plasticky and okay, I would baby them a bit. Touch controls are precise and responsive for me, even with the guide stickers still on the outside (which I’ve removed after my wife made fun of me for it). The app seems to work all right, I think it’s better to set your preferences and then not use it anymore, as sometimes the settings get changed around a bit for no reason. (KEEP UP WITH FIRMWARE UPDATES, though.)
Connectivity—outstanding. Bluetooth (multipoint x2), passive mode, and USB mode. Quickly:
* Bluetooth: works fine. Good range, it seems. I don’t care for or like the multipoint, and I think it’s irrelevant.
* USB mode: use USB-A to USB Type C cable (included). Headphone presents as a regular USB headset to the computer. Works great and charges at the same time.
* Passive mode: Uses a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable (included) to use as a plain Jane wired headset. You CAN power on the M4 in this mode and benefit from better sound, or leave them off (on purpose, or if the battery is dead). I DISAGREE THAT THE SOUND IS BAD IN PURE PASSIVE MODE, WITH POWER OFF. It’s slightly subpar compared to BT/USB/powered passive, but it’s JUST FINE, and pretty good to boot.
The SG review docks the M4 on mic quality, but in my tests people’s feedback was that the calls were clear and noise-free, even when I was doing yard work on a very windy day. Still, YMMV.
Case—it’s a carrying case. It’s… functional, plain, the way I like my coffee.
My only complaint, if this tells you anything—the charge port and 2.5mm port are on the RIGHT cup, whereas all other sets I’ve ever had or seen have the cable going to the LEFT one. The power button and touch controls are also on the RIGHT, so maybe that’s why, but on the (infrequent) occasions when you may have a cable attached, it’s not where you’d be used to finding it.

I got the limited edition Black/Copper, and unboxed it today upon delivery, and first time I put these on my ears, I was blown away. Stunning audio experience from Sennheiser Momentum 4. And I’m coming from Sony WH-1000XM4, which broke after 3 years of usage. Like other reviews, Noise cancellation is not the best, but sufficient enough. Can’t compare it to Sony in terms of ANC, but the audio quality blows Sony & Bose out of the water. This is known for audio quality, and wow does it impress you, especially for a wireless headphone. Go for it, you won’t have regrets.

Got the Denim special edition.
Sound Quality: Excellent clarity and balanced sound
profile, with deep rumbling bass and detailed highs.
Comfort: Lightweight and
comfortable for long listening sessions, featuring plush ear cushions and an adjustable headband.
Noise Cancellation: Effective active noise cancellation that reduces ambient noise, enhancing the listening experience.
Battery Life: Impressive long-lasting battery, offering up to 60 hours of playtime on a single charge.
Design: Sleek and modern
aesthetic, though some may prefer the retro look of previous models.
•Features: Intuitive touch controls and customizable
sound through the Sennheiser app.
Price: On the higher end, but justified by the quality and features offered.

I love these. The sound is amazing, battery life is incredible at 60hr, I can comfortably wear them all day when the Sony MX5s hurt my scalp after an hour.
ANC works okay, nothing special.
To enjoy these properly on PC, get a BTD600. Without it the standard Windows BT just won’t be able to keep up the bitrate required for good audio.

In my point of view in this price segment like around 30k this headset is best for sound quality and battery back up. Call quality is also too good like even we talk in a very low voice the mic will catch our voice and wind sound of fan is not heard on the opposite side. For gaming also there is no much latency like playing BGMI,actually I didn’t felt any latency. And active noise cancellation is also good. Appearance is also for me it’s good. The only problem I noticed is Senheiser didn’t have much service centres in India, please provide more service centres in every state. In Kerala, there is no service centre please arrange one service centre here.

These headphones are awesome overall but just make sure you are not buying them to use with PS5/PS4 as they will not work properly with USB-C or wireless. Only way to use them with the console is with aux cable. Also whenever you use mic, the headphones will automatically switch to hands free mode where the audio quality will become dogshit, so don’t but these for gaming with a mic.

Hello everyone i was very confused between xm4 and momentum 4 s so after very much thought I decided to go with senny s and trust me guys its so better and many reviewers said that it don’t have good anc but to be honest its anc is on par with xm 4 for example near my house construction is happening and it literally very smoothly cancelled all that unwanting noice and its best for detailed sound gaming etc and everything and it you have little knowledge of eq s you can also customise it according to you very easily app is good but not good as sony s and its comfortable but ears get little hot thats all otherwise its a very good headphone currently .
