I tested the sound of my creative Pebble speakers 2.0 USB and I was satisfied. The bass is greater than one would expect from these little guys, each one about the size of a magic eight-ball. You could feel the speakers vibrating to the touch and radiating through the desk, so it’s got a little oomph to it. The sound quality was fairly clear and detailed, reasonable enough that I could listen to music comfortably.
    Cons –
1)when you full the volume or louder the music they get annoying and mildely distracting.
    2) It’s also worth noting that you must plug them into both a 3.5mm jack AND a USB-A port to function at all. The USB is power ONLY and the speakers will not work without it, and if you don’t want to take up a slot in your computer, you will need to supply your own power brick.

Overall, the Creative Labs Pebble 2 speakers offer great value at an entry price point. Would definitely recommend 👍😊

Good overall quality and loudness, but sound is a boxy.
Overall good quality for price of around 2k.
However, the sound does seem like it is coming out of a box or something.
I have used cheaper stereo speakers in which that problem is not there.

I love these speakers. The sound quality is unbelievable! In fact they sound better than my more expensive speakers. The volume is more than sufficient, I found if you set the volume around 40 to 50% you find a sweet spot. The cables are short but remember this set was designed for a laptop and works just fine, Most desktops are usually mounted too far away from the monitor for the cables to reach.
These are not party speakers, but for the price you cannot go wrong.

The speaker gave good sound for 3 months and then one day it starting producing some noise. I tried reconnecting all the cables and tested on other device as well. There is noise (krrrr….) along with sound so you can’t listen to anything peacefully. There is no support as well, don’t know what it means by one year warranty.

This is quite good. I checked all the possible frequency gains and the speaker responds positively for a parametric eq. The woofer is a little thump but forgiving. Overall satisfaction for the price standpoint.

Speakers look good, loud enough, cable is lengthy and that’s about it. Nothing bad or lacking.

To be fair, I don’t usually buy this kind of speaker. I find that small drivers voiced to put out more bass than they can actually manage, can end up sounding quite ridiculous. I’ve tried a few cheap speakers and they never work out well, so I wasn’t expecting much. I expect vocal clarity and intelligibility to be the first goal of any speaker designer, and these don’t do that. They are muffled and boxy, with a very high emphasis on bass output.

As you can see for the video, the enclosure is so light that it starts rotating when the bass hits, so even that didn’t work out well. This is connected to a pro interface with +4dBu output, hence there’s no capping of the bass transient. No EQ was used. With onboard sound or a USB DAC I’m unable to reach this level. The speaker is fed from a 5V, 3A power supply – using a motherboard’s USB-C sees distortion set in a lot earlier. I measured the usable output level at 80dB at 2 feet for music, maybe a bit higher for compressed modern pop music and then a little more for internet video. You’d just be able to get 85-88dB max if you’re sitting close up.

When using the USB-C of the motherboard (and, I’m assuming, a USB-C PD charger), there’s no apparent way to shift the speaker to low gain mode. When using the external supply the difference between the modes is quite apparent. The High mode sacrifices some more of the already poor fidelity, making the treble more peaky and the enclosure rotates a little earlier.

The wires are extremely short. I can barely get it on either side of a 30″ monitor and have to get creative (no pun intended) to get the right placement. I needed a basic speaker to cover one PC’s audio output till the pandemic situation ended, and needed something a little better than the R12U I was using earlier. This is fine for that.

This is my fourth cheap Chinese product, and they are all terrible. The sound processing employed by all of them ruins the sound and if you never heard a good speaker you’d think it is okay, but it’s not. Creative tried to get a tiny 1.5″ driver (it’s not 2″) to sound big and it just ends up confused. You can just about make out the vocal section, and the bass is boxy and just sounds cheap.

One caveat though, when running speech and Youtube videos off cheap motherboard audio it sounds acceptable. It’s only when connected to a proper source and playing music with proper transients, that you can tell it’s junk. For my intended application it’ll work, but don’t be misled by the positive feedback. You are never going to get more than you are paying for it.

I replaced my old Creative desktop speaker system with this new one. The sound is very crisp and clear for music, while for movies / tv series the dialogue is clear and easily understood. However, since it is USB powered, the volume doesn’t go up very high. But there is a Gain switch which allows the bass to be more powerful. On the whole, an ideal match for desktops and very good value for money (especially since it got this system in a sale!).

I got the speaker today. Purchased it for my laptop whose speakers are damaged. The sound quality is good for the price. The bass is adequate, the clarity & stereo separation are pretty good, the vocals/dialogues are clear as well. This is the 2.0 variant which doesn’t come with a subwoofer yet the bass levels are quite fine. Far better sound compared to your laptop output. Good value for money. No defects/issues as of now.

I recently upgraded my desktop audio setup with the Creative Pebble V3 Minimalistic 2.0 USB-C Desktop Speakers, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed. These speakers not only boast a sleek and modern design that complements any desktop environment, but they also deliver exceptional audio quality.

The USB-C connectivity is a standout feature, providing a hassle-free and efficient connection to my desktop. Setting up the speakers was a breeze – just plug and play. The USB Audio capability ensures a clear and crisp audio signal, eliminating the need for additional power cables.

One of the key highlights of the Creative Pebble V3 is its ability to produce clear dialogues. Whether I’m watching movies, attending virtual meetings, or playing games, the speakers deliver dialogues with impressive clarity. The sound is well-balanced, offering a rich audio experience without overpowering bass or harsh trebles.

The minimalistic design of these speakers is another aspect that I appreciate. They take up minimal space on my desk while still making a stylish statement. The front-facing volume control knob is a convenient touch, allowing me to adjust the volume easily without having to reach for my computer.

These speakers are also surprisingly powerful for their compact size. The 4.4-inch drivers deliver a punchy and dynamic sound that enhances my overall multimedia experience. The soundstage is wide, providing an immersive feel whether I’m watching movies or listening to music.

In conclusion, the Creative Pebble V3 Minimalistic 2.0 USB-C Desktop Speakers exceeded my expectations. Upgrade your desktop setup with the Creative Pebble V3, and you won’t be disappointed!

Been looking around for a small desk speaker with good stylish, great sounding, and great price. Come across this Pebble 2.0, that almost hit all of it. The sound was so lively, forwarding that just wrap around you, not stay back in speaker is a surprising touch, just need a little more bass and it will be an amazing product.
But even that, this is an unbeatable desktop speaker, I was way satisficed and would recommend it to anyone for this size of desktop speaker set. You won’t disappointed.

As the title suggests, you won’t find better value for your money if you’re on a budget. These are incredible quality for their price.

Volume – You can drive these louder than you’d ever want to, no worries here.
Sound Quality – I don’t have much reference, but these sound great to me. I can’t find anything to complain about.
Build Quality – Better than you would expect for the price. Seems like they’re made to last.
Ease of Use – Plug and play as advertised unless you’re looking to use these on Linux (tested on Ubuntu 22.04), but then again, when does Linux not require extra steps. The cable lengths are great, providing lots of flexibility.

If you are looking for a cheap way to get audio out of your TV, desktop, laptop, etc. these are the way to go. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
