The device worked well for a few months. Then after a pc restart, the usb hub function does not work. i.e. the attached keyboard and mouse don’t work for any of the pcs. Switching the monitor between the pcs works

This product is seriously insane. Before this I was using an HDMI switcher and an USB switcher separately to control 2 systems together. This was a PIA. The two were out of sync and also the USB switcher wont work at all some times.
This product solved all those issues. Worked like a charm in first use itself. The cables are long enough to hide everything behind the desk and only use the extended switch on front. Cables are thick and sturdy. The double sided tape fixes the extended button pretty solid. A must go product for sure.

Really sad that what the most recent reviews said, came true.
I got this device on the 27th of July, and by the 3rd of August, this has stopped working.
HDMI switching is working just fine, but USB switching is not working anymore.
I have tried unplugging the usb Devices, but alas, it does not get fixed.
I bought this for 2199, as a prime day deal.
The build quality is great for the product, no doubt. Nothing looks flimsy at all.
But the switching circuit is just bad in quality.
I have requested a replacement from Amazon, and hope that the next one does not have issues like this.

Updating after 2 months:
The size is of a large matchbox. So it doesn’t consume too much space.
The connection is simple. There is space for inputs from 2 computers (one HDMI and one USB). It comes with one HDMI cable and 2 USB to USB cables with one wired, remote switching button.
The output side should be connected to the monitor and common devices to be shared like a mouse and keyboard.
I am using it with one PC and one Macbook with Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard combo. Everything is working fine. The switching remote button is very handy. S̶o̶m̶e̶t̶i̶m̶e̶s̶, w̶h̶e̶n̶ I̶ s̶w̶i̶t̶c̶h̶ t̶o̶ M̶a̶c̶, i̶t̶ d̶o̶e̶s̶n̶’t̶ w̶o̶r̶k̶. I̶’l̶l̶ h̶a̶v̶e̶ t̶o̶ o̶p̶e̶n̶ t̶h̶e̶ M̶a̶c̶B̶o̶o̶k̶ a̶n̶d̶ c̶l̶o̶s̶e̶ i̶t̶ (̶w̶a̶k̶e̶ f̶r̶o̶m̶ s̶l̶e̶e̶p̶)̶ a̶n̶d̶ i̶t̶ w̶o̶r̶k̶s̶ f̶i̶n̶e̶. Actually, the problem was with mac system. Now it works fine seamlessly. It is quick for windows and mac sleeps after inactivity. So, it took longer to wake up. I mistook that previously. I am very happy with the switch.
Satisfied with the quality of the switcher. I recommend it.

It has been four months. This thing is working pretty well so far. Sometimes I need to unplug and replug certain peripherals, but it isn’t too frequent… yet.

Requires significant power from the usb ports to work but can’t give significant power output out – usb is limited to usb2 connection throught, not good enough for a microphone, mouse and keyboard are fine however.
Power switching between the 2 different sources is messy and ocassionally fails. One of the indicator lights went out but otherwise working fine after 2 years

The only thing to note is this unit supports only 59.95 MHz refresh rate. My laptop was sending 144 MHz signal and it was not recognized by this unit. but on battery it was sending 60 MHz signal then it worked. So I set both signals to 59.95 MHz. Then it worked fine.

Works perfectly – exactly as advertised.
Looks good, and is built well.
Some thoughts:
1. The order of the LEDs (for PC1 & PC2) on the main unit is reversed in the remote. This creates a confusion, when you are trying to take a quick look.
2. I find the price pretty high for the very limited functionality it provides.
3. A screw hole on the bottom for wall-hanging is sorely missed.
4. No USB3
5. I’m getting a feeling that the current passed on to the USB port is lower than the source, since devices take longer to charge through this hub, than when charged directly off the PC. (I’ll try to experiment this quantitively and update this review with my findings).
