Purchased two of these. Came marked with different brand name than advertised. LED lights are on but none of them working. Made of plastic material and ssds are not being detected. Non returnable.

I ordered this for converting my old pc Sata into a USB powered hard disk. After receiving it I inserted my hard disk easily into it. This case comes in black colour. You can only place that laptop hard disk which ihas a form factor of 2.5. There is a screwdriver provided inside the package with screws so after inserting you can tight it. So it becomes a complete USB power hard disk. There is a caring pouches also provided. It comes with the USB connector cable. In my case the product worked fine. But I needed a case for PC hard disk. So I returned it.

First I bought a USB to SATA adapter cable in Amazon and when connected to my 160 GB Hard disk, I got continuous beep sounds and I saw some videos in Youtube, came to know the issue might be with Hard disk, the read-write head might be stuck on the Platter and I ended up opening the hard disk and found everything was normal since its the only Seagate working Hard disk running perfectly without any issues since 2007. Then I concluded issue is with the adapter cable and I returned it and bought this very good product. I inserted my Hard disk to the casing and connected to my laptop, my old Hard disk picked up the signal and working very well and I took my backup successfully. The USB cable is with v2.0 but the quality is very good. My suggestion is don’t buy cheap and mid-level USB to SATA adapter cables here,they are not at all working.
