This is a USB extender cable- type A male and type A female at the ends. I wanted to use it as a power supply cable extender but there are no power supply cable with USB terminals available. That would have thicker conductors (because there will no data cables) and would have been sturdier. But we have no such cable available and this is a good use. The cost is reasonable and the quality (camera quality; visual appeal) is decent. Honestly, I do not understand what is camera quality (mentioned in the overall rating).

When using the USB ports on the back of my tower, I sometimes needed to keep the keyboard really close to my desk in order for it to work smoothly I plugged this wire into the same slot, but once I plugged the dongle into this extension, I could avoid having metal (from my computer case) between it and the keyboard. Now, I can even move my keyboard to the other side of my office and it works great. Well worth the investment.
