Audio quality is very good, with fine tuning in EKSA Audio Center it becomes very good for gaming. Been using it for 2 years. Just after a year of using, the Memory Foam Ear Cup started to break off and tear in pieces. So, will be changing soon.

I have a small head and most earphones slip off. These fit too tight, and they hurt after wearing them for just a few minutes! That is unusual for me. Probably for people with bigger heads, these will really hurt! Because of the tight fit, I am using them only rarely.

Okay, first of all bear in mind that this is a gaming headset hence audiophiles would get disappointed. Eksa E900 is a Virtual 7.1 surround headset with detachable mic, usb and 3.5mm support. The driver size is 50mm. There is a single accent red led both side of ear and they turn on only with USB connectivity. The LEDs do not blink or change colors. The headband is self-adjusting. This headset works with PC, Mac, Xbox, Ps, Mobile and ipod because of the CTIA standard 3.5mm jack support. Also one 3.5mm mic + speaker splitter is provided with the headset so you can use without the usb on PC. But there is one thing to mention. The 7.1 surround only works in PC if you use the usb. If you connect the headset with 3.5mm jack to your pc it will work as a Stereo headset. There is no driver cd provided with the box therefore you have to download it from the official website. Plug-n-Play works fine but I would highly recommend to install the driver as it has special features available on the driver. There is no in-line mic/vol control on the usb cable but is available on the 3.5mm cable. It may be deal-breaker for some but I personally loved the idea having no in-line controls on the usb cable as it affects weight on the cable also the volume rocker dial tends to get damaged overtime on use. Both cable lengths same (1.5m perhaps) and it’s adequate for PC also other devices. There is no way to disable the LEDs so they always will be on if connected to usb.
For price less than 2600 inr this is the best build quality you can get. Moment after you open up the box you can feel the premiumness of this product. The material is fibre not plastic. Yes, the cusions are made of Memory foams which can be seen in more pricey headphone. The memory foam is best for prolonged use (more than 4-5hours straight) as these are softer than sponges and doesn’t cause sweating. You will feel the headset on your head but you wouldn’t feel the cusions pushing on your ears, honestly. To be truthful, I thought the cables wouldn’t be that good as they advertised but I’m amazed that they exceeded my expectations completely. The cables aren’t braided but they are smooth as good quality cable can be. These are matte finished. The 3.5mm pins are gold plated but the usb pins aren’t – they are made of steel. The cushion sitting under headband also made of memory foams and provides great deal of comfort over your head. The mic is noise cancelling but I’m not sure if it’s boom mic or not. There are locks both on mic and 3.5mm input ports on the headset and locks the cables perfectly. Top of everything, the best thing about this headset is that it weights only 250gm(approx.) without the cables connected and it makes the headphone so much comfortable on your head and ears. The red wire connecting two speakers are nicely attached to the headset and doesn’t move if you flick or pull. That is a sign of good finished product.

First lets start with whats inside the box 1. The headphone itself ( without cables attached ) 2. An EKSA branded leather feel bag which contains all these 1. 3.5 mm to 3.5mm cable ( male to male , one end has a proprietary lock mechanism which makes it stay in the headphones and not fall off ) 2. 3.5 mm splitter ( to input and output ports , included in my pictures ) 3. USB-type c to USB-type a cable ( yes the new models come with type c cables , and it does not have any lock mechanism so any type c cable should work ) 4. Documentation ( including user manual and an easy user manual )
I’m sorry for not including the photo of the box , i threw it away . But dont throw it away as soon as you open it . you should refer to it for registering warranty and downloading the software
So now lets talk about the headphones ,
1. Build & design ( For your information I bought these headphones for 2700 rupees ) These headphones are really well built for this price , although majority of the material used it plastic it does not feel cheap , it feels good ( not very premium either but not cheap too ) . The piece holding the drivers in place is made of metal ( the one that you slide for adjusting ) and its really solid . The wires connecting the drivers are coiled and are placed outside ( this makes them look like a premium pair of headphones ). The design is very good and I know this is a very subjective one , but still the headphone doesn’t scream gamery , its a fully black design with subtle red accents , EKSA logo on the headband ( very subtle , cant notice easily ) and finally the ‘E’ logo on the sides light up when connected via the USB cable. These are open back styled headphones ( refer pictures for more information )
2. Provided accessories They provide you with all the accessories you actually need and nothing you don’t . The 3.5 mm cables are all gold plated and feels of good quality . The given 3.5 mm AUX cable has a lock mechanism on one side which makes sure it does not come off accidentally while using the headphones. Giving a 3.5mm audio splitter in the box is a nice touch but I would strongly recommend using these headphones with USB as it has better sound quality , virtual surround is available only on USB and also the ‘E’ logo lights up lol. The given type-c cable is also of good quality and almost 2 meters in length ( approx )
3. Software EKSA has their own software on their website and you can download based on what headphones you received , mostly its the new model but if by any chance you get the old model then download accordingly ( the only difference between them is micro USB and USB type c ) I have attached pictures of all the features of the software . For speakers it has sound control , 10 band equalizer , virtual surround sound , sample rate adjustment , environment effects (literally useless) and two other things which I have no idea about. For microphone it has volume control ( mic boost in a nutshell ) , sample rate , some cool effects ( voice changer basically ) and finally noise reduction.
Surround sound I used surround sound for a while and it just makes the audio sound from a distance , the surround effect is good but i would not suggest it for competitive games which render audio in stereo , this just messes those up . so i would recommend turning this off while playing those type of games . but for single player games and games which have surround sound ( not tried yet ) you will have a better experience. I often use this for music .
Microphone Here we come to the good part , this is by far one of the best microphones i have used in a while . i have tried so many headphones ( including expensive gaming ones ) and this just blew them away . The vocals are so crisp and the compression is low , so others can hear your voice perfectly and even tiny details are noticeable , the only thing is this does not pick up the bass in your voice very well other than that its just excellent. you can adjust the mic to any direction you want ( its very flexible ) and the mic also comes with a filter , i would recommend leaving that on.
Sound quality This is the most important part , so I’ll try to be explain as much as possible First of all i’m no audiophile , but i listen to music very often and i am a basshead . These headphones were so perfect for me as these are slightly bass heavy and produce clean bass ( very slight muddiness ) . Other sound stages were very good , the mids and highs were produced correctly . This also does not leak sound when its on your head . first i though they were leaking sound so i asked someone if sound was leaking and they told me it was quiet and they could not hear anything.
Comfort I come from using light headphones so these felt heavy at first ( and yes they are a bit heavy ) but if headphones have correct cushion softness and weight balance , the weight won’t be felt on us. This is the story with these headphones too , the weight balance is on point and i did not feel any discomfort after long gaming hours except some heat inside the headphones , this is to be expected as the ear cushions are covered in a leather feel material ( the good thing is you can get replacement cushions on their website ) but other than that its soft as it should be not too soft nor too hard . The headband has a firmer cushion , I wish it has softer cushions there but still can’t complain .
Headphone features The headphone has a volume knob and a physical mute switch behind the left ear cup , they do their jobs perfectly but i wish they put it somewhere else . i am really nit picking at this point . you will get used to the placement in a couple of days .
Overall These are a very good pair of headphones in this price range , especially the mic quality is top notch ( even beats many expensive headphones ) , very subtle design , the software lets you control almost everything , the build quality is very good for the price and you can also get all replacements on their website . Before buying this headphones I was confused to go with it or not as we know gaming headphones have poor quality bass but after using this I was amazed. I have been using since 1 year & writing this review:- Pros: 1. Best audio output at this price range. (Have good treble for gaming & good bass for music and movies lovers. 2. Cushion is very comfortable even after prolong use with power glasses. I have been using for a year, the cushion has no wear. 3. This can be connected using USB cable C type & 3.5 mm audio jack which is the best. 4. The software has voice changer which is very fun to use. 5. It has detachable mic which is good has we have to only buy mic piece in case of malfunction. 6. Audio output through mic is good. 7. Good and easy software setup.
Cons: 1. 7.1 setup in software is bit tricky. 2. Braided cable would have been great at this price range. 3. The mic picks outside noise, for example if you are using cooler and playing games cooler noise can be heard to other players. 4. Noise cancellation mics would have been great.

Purchased for my son for PC gaming whilst at Uni. Budget headsets (and some non budget!) don’t tend to last long with regular use and typically fail at cable connections due to low quality cables. Went for these as the cable and microphone are detachable from the headset so if the cable fails the headset can still be used. You get what you pay for and for the price you get quite a lot, 2 cables (1 usb and one phono) a half decent mic and respectable surround sound. All in really pleased with purchase. However, almost a year since purchase the headset cables both failed. Contacted customer support and within a week they had replacement delivered free of charge. cannot fault the customer service and still have a great headset. Buying a Budget headset can be a bit of a lottery but if they survive a couple of years of constant teenage use then it will be money well spent and would probably buy again. Would have been a 5 stars had it not been for the cables
